How the IELTS Band Calculator works
IELTS Listening & Reading are scored out of 40 and converted to bands using official conversion tables (different for Academic vs General Training). Writing & Speaking are already given as bands. Your overall band = average of all four, rounded to the nearest half band (6.25 → 6.5, 6.75 → 7.0).
